Flowers for the Living
Anna B. Korn & The Oklahoma Hall of Fame

In 1927, Anna B. Korn established a philosophy that would define a century of recognition in our state: we should not wait for a person to pass away to honor their contributions. We must "give flowers to the living."
Flowers for the Living explores the founding of the Oklahoma Memorial Association, known today as the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, and its growth under Korn's strict, decades-long leadership. By examining her life—from her early years in Missouri to becoming the driving force behind Oklahoma's highest honor—we can also witness the ways in which the organization today has moved beyond its origins.
Join us in reflecting on the legacy of our founder, who believed in the power of the individual to shape a state's history and identity. This legacy lives on through the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, which remains devoted to honoring all Oklahomans for the good they have done for the world.
This exhibit is on display in the President's Office Gallery at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum, home of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Visit https://www.oklahomahof.com/museum/exhibits for more information on current exhibits!
